mansa musa was the king of the richest empire in history. mansa which means king had stupendis amounts of gold and salt which is where he got al this money. hes so famous for his gold that in the catalan atlas hes shown with a nugget of gold. mansa musa went on pilgamage and he went to a kingdom and gave away so much gold that for 12 years there was crazy inflasion. he is also known for ruling the songhay kingdom.
