When castles where attacked they would have many backup plans to get in. first was a siege wall which is a wall with a latter so they could climb onto the wall. if that doesnt work theyll just use a catapult. if that doesnt work you might think that theyre done but they usually have one more move up there sleeve this plan is where you dig a hole under the wall thats supported by wood logs and they would blow it up and hopefully break the bridge.
